Abstract

Industrial policy considers important although there are divergent views around it, but it remains a tool which by it Governments can fix market distortions produced from our standpoint in the absence of government intervention, since the aim is to reform the distortions if emptying all in economic performance improvement box as imposing inevitable but that does not mean that industrial policy may cause no adverse impact on his nomenclature used sometimes to adversely affect the performance of some economic institutions, and herein lies the role to follow this policy and modernization and restructuring whenever necessary, in accordance with the requirements of each phase. Hence there was a need to examine the role of industrial policy in improving economic performance and gauge the impact of these policies on performance whether positive or negatively. Having industrial policy of the Republic of Yemen add to Mukalla fish canning factory as a case study for adding realism to the theory study and knowledge of the role played by industrial policy in Yemen on plant performance.
