Abstract

This dissertation focuses on the techno-economic feasibility study of innovative eco-energy systems based on geothermal energy, with particular emphasis on the exploitation of the Albian aquifer in the Biskra region, Algeria. The main objective is to assess the relevance and performance of sustainable geothermal solutions adapted to the national energy context, still largely dependent on fossil resources. The adopted methodology combines numerical simulations, experimental analyses, and comparative evaluations of immersed geothermal heat exchangers, particularly the tubular bundle and the Vertical Slinky singletube. The results highlight the decisive impact of geometrical and thermophysical parameters on efficiency and the coefficient of performance (COP), while also identifying optimal operating conditions. The comparative study demonstrates that the Vertical Slinky single-tube heat exchanger is the most suitable option in terms of both performance and economic viability for harnessing the local geothermal potential. These findings provide promising prospects for the integration of geothermal energy into the national strategy for energy transition and sustainable development.
