Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study discusses one of the most prominent topics related to the Palestinian issue, both in terms of its deep-rootedness and continuity, focusing on the conflicts faced by the Palestinian national movement between 1948 and 2007. It examines their historical roots, causes, and implications for the Palestinian cause in a sequential historical context through the historical observation of the behavior of Palestinian political and guerrilla movements and organizations, their adherence to their goals, principles, and positions, and revealing the most significant outcomes of these conflicts on the nature of the relationship between these organizations and the development of the Palestinian cause. And also examining the extent of the Arab regimes' contribution to fueling it and exploiting it to serve their regional and international policies and agendas. The study concluded that the Palestinian-Palestinian conflict took different forms, varying according to the spatial conditions and the regional and international dimensions that the Palestinian national movement was subjected to. It also continued to support the Palestinian national liberation project since its emergence before and after 1948, as it fragmented the unity of the Palestinian national front, dispersed its forces and military capabilities, diverted its attention from the fundamental struggle against colonialism and Zionism, and allowed regional and international powers to intervene in Palestinian internal affairs.
