Abstract
English Abstract
The objective of this study was to study the effectiveness of the method of
studying the proposed (problem solving and directed discovery) on the lesson of
physical and athletic education and its impact on the level of some motor abilities
and skill learning among the students of the third year secondary.
The study used the experimental syllabus of the two groups (experimental
and control). The sample of the study consisted of the students of the third year
secondary to the Department of Sidi Aqaba (2016- 2017) of the 370 students were
selected in a simple random manner. The researcher used a questionnaire to
measure the effectiveness of applying the method of teaching by tribal
measurement and After the use of the set of tests to measure the impact of this
method on some of the abilities of motor and learning skills and the researcher used
several statistical means through the use of SPSS program.
The main findings of the study:
The researcher was able to reach the following results:
• There is a positive effect in the application of the mixed teaching method (problem
solving and directed discovery) on the effectiveness of physical education and sports
lesson in the third-secondary students in the department of Sidi Okba in the
educational and learning side for the benefit of the experimental group.
• There is a positive impact in the application of mixed teaching method (problem
solving and discovery oriented) on the effectiveness of physical education and sports
lesson in the third-secondary students in the Department of Sidi okba, on the side of
communication and teamwork and participation for the benefit of the experimental
group.
• There is a positive impact in the application of mixed teaching method
(problem solving and discovery oriented) on the effectiveness of physical education
and sports lesson in the third-secondary students in the department of Sidi okba in
the side of thinking, discovery, respect and pleasure for the benefit of the
experimental group.

• There is a positive effect in the application of the mixed teaching method (problem
solving and directed discovery) on the effectiveness of the physical and sports
education lesson for the third-secondary students in Sidi okba Department in the
psychological and social aspects for the benefit of the experimental group.
• There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05
0.05) between the experimental group (mixed mode) and the control group (the usual
method) at the level of some motor abilities in the telemetry in favor of the
experimental group.
• There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05
0.05) between the experimental group (mixed method) and the control group (the
usual method) at the level of skill learning in the telemetry for the experimental
group.
• There was a slight positive improvement of the experimental group results on the
control group in the metering of motor capacity measurements with improvement
rates ranging between 19 and 32%
• There is a significant positive improvement of the experimental group results on
the control group in the telemetry measurement of skill learning. With rates of
improvement ranging from 34 to 75%
Recommendations:
- Conducting a number of studies on the use of mixed teaching method "problem
solving and directed discovery" in the rest of the motor abilities and skills related to
activities programmed in the share of physical education and sports
- Holding seminars for teachers in the directorates of education to train them on how
to use the mixed teaching method "problem solving and discovery oriented" to
improve the level of performance within different educational institutions and this
according to the results obtained.
- Conduct more studies and research to choose modern methods in teaching courses,
and keep abreast of developments in developed countries.
